SROs

There will be 80 SRO?s all together with 20 per floor. These SROs will also have a subsidy program by the realty company that the tenant might qualify for. The SRO will be a single room with a bathroom. There is no kitchenette area, nor is there an office. In a matter of fact, even storage is at a premium providing just the necessities. This might mean those with an SRO might have a storage room to keep their stuff until they find a place to live.

SROs are not supported by HUD. The program for the SROs affordability options is exclusive for FSP Realty to help those that would be out on the streets or at best a homeless shelter. If the SRO tenant wishes to have a subsidized rent for their SRO, they must apply for subsidized housing with HUD. More information can be found on the main site. If the tenant receives Section 8, then they will have to move to another location. The apartments will not support Section 8. Instead there will be a subsidized housing program that is the same to what I have. If they applied for the Tower, and get a unit, they will just move to another floor.

There will be no balcony for the SROs. This is because there is no way you can install a door to get into the balcony with there being a single window, and nothing more.
